Group rafting trips are our specialty, and we pride ourselves on the success of our group experiences.
Our flexibility is one of the main reasons that we are so good with groups. We run a wide variety of whitewater river rafting trips that can accommodate many different ages and experience levels. It’s often possible to arrange the scheduling so that groups running different rivers in the same day can depart and return at approximately the same time. Our veteran guide staff also adds to the group experience. Our average guide has been with us for seven years. We specialize in working with youths and we easily accommodate different diets, religious practices, and physical capabilities.

River trips on the Lower Youghiogheny are run in 4 to 6 person rafts. Our experienced guide staff accompanies the group in kayaks and is present to oversee activities the entire day.
The first order of business is for each raft to select a boat captain. This person is responsible for issuing paddling commands that the others must execute to traverse the rapids correctly.
At each major rapid your employees will listen to instructions from our guides on the best way to run each rapid prior to beginning the navigation of the whitewater. A cohesive team effort is needed to achieve the goal of negotiating the whitewater channel and regrouping in the calm pool. This process is repeated throughout the day to reinforce your team training exercise. It is possible to arrange longer stops between rapids to discuss “real work” solutions.
