When taking a guided white water rafting trip on the Middle Youghiogheny with White Water Adventurers, you have a few options as to what kind of trip you want to take. Guide Escorted: Our traditional adventure. You captain your own raft while our professional guides accompany your group along 11 miles and through 8 easy rapids. Your guides will ride in kayaks along side you all day and will provide directions, encouragement and assistance throughout the trip.
Captained Raft: The Middle Yough is a great way to introduce small children to rafting, however, maneuvering a raft does require a team effort from everyone in the raft. For Mom and Dad, or Grandma and Grandpa, paddling the little ones down the river can be taxing. choose the guide in raft option to help you navigate the river. Discovering the great outdoors and creating family memories will be an unforgettable experience. Our Captained Raft river rafting trips are available for an additional cost of $20.00 per person.
Inflatable Kayak Option: Togetherness is wonderful, but your pre-teen or teen wants independence. The compromise? Easy! The inflatable kayak option allows those individuals to be in a craft by themselves. They are in charge of their own craft and can move around the rocks and river while still under the supervision of our professional guide staff. The Inflatable Kayak Option is offered at no additional cost Monday through Friday and is available on Saturday and Sunday for an additional $10.00 per person.
