When taking a guided white water rafting trip on the Lower Youghiogheny with White Water Adventurers, you have a few options as to what kind of trip you want to take. Guide Escorted: Our traditional adventure. Everybody participates in the fun of paddling and guiding your own raft while our professional guides accompany your group in kayaks along 7.5 miles of the scenic Youghiogheny Gorge and through 22 exhilarating rapids. Experience the pride of accomplishment when you "beat the whitewater" while your guides provide direction and assistance through this class III section.

Captained Raft: Be conservative or bump up the excitement with a guide in the raft. They will help you create your rafting memories by controlling the raft and teaching you about the history and beauty of our mountains. Our Captained Raft river trips are available for an additional cost of $100.00 for up to 5 persons.

Inflatable Kayak Option: Challenge the river one-on-one! Take a 1 or 2 person inflatable kayak or PPB (personal paddle boat). Your guide will be in a kayak along side you for your entire adventure and will provide directions, encouragement and assistance throughout the trip. The Inflatable Kayak Option is available for an additional cost of $10.60 per person.

Reverse Pedal/Paddle: A White Water Adventurers exclusive! Energized by the river and looking for another activity? Climb out of the rafts at the end of the Lower Yough trip and onto a bike for the ride back to Ohiopyle. Exploring the Youghiogheny Gorge from land will further complete your accomplishments. The Reverse Pedal/Paddle is available for an additional cost of $10.00 per person.

Guided Loop Trip: Short on time? Catch the rafting fever on the first 1 1/2 miles of the Lower Yough. Experience solid class III whitewater on this section. Trip averages 2 hours. The Guided Loop Trip is 50% off the guide escorted price. There is no lunch on this trip but you can upgrade to a captained raft or inflatable kayak option. Please keep in mind that this option is not applicable to other discounts.

Bar-B-Que: You can keep the fun going after an exciting day on the river with a Bar-B-Que dinner. Typical menu includes: Bar-B-Que chicken, hamburgers, hotdogs, macaroni salad, baked beans, watermelon, brownies or a cake, and lemonade or water to drink. We supply frisbees, footballs, and volley ball equipment for entertainment. Available by reservation only with at least 1 week's notice for group's of 20 or more. $9.99/person plus tax.
